Start-Up Legal & Ethical Steps

The IIC Unit of GRT College of Nursing organized a guest lecture on 14.05.2026 for the Third Year B.Sc. Nursing students on the topic “Start-up Legal & Ethical Steps.” The session was conducted by Mrs. Nirmala M, Professor, who provided an insightful overview of the legal and ethical considerations essential for establishing and managing a successful start-up. She explained the importance of business registration, obtaining licenses and permits, compliance with government regulations, intellectual property protection, taxation requirements, and maintaining proper legal documentation. Mrs. Nirmal M also emphasized ethical principles such as integrity, transparency, accountability, respect for stakeholders, confidentiality, and social responsibility in entrepreneurial activities. She highlighted that adherence to legal requirements and ethical standards not only prevents legal issues but also builds trust, credibility, and long-term sustainability for businesses. The session was highly informative and enhanced the students’ understanding of responsible entrepreneurship and the key legal and ethical steps involved in launching and operating a start-up successfully.
