1st Alumnae Meet Report

First Alumnae Association Home coming event was organized on 28th Oct 2020 at 10.00 am with active participation of 78 Alumnaethrough Virtual Meet. It was started with welcome address by Ms.AngelShalini.W Associate Professor, GRT CON and welcome dance by Ms.Anbarasi, B.Sc (N) III Yr followed by Mrs. Mohanapriya.K, Associate Professor presented the Alumnae report. Alumnae Office Bearers were selected anonymously by the voting of all alumnae. The office bearers selected were Ms.Krishnaveni, Vice President, Ms.Jayapriya.P, Secretary, Ms.Varalakshmi,R, Treasurer, Ms,Vinodhini.M, In House Secretary, &Ms.Tamilselvi.S, In House Treasurer. Our beloved Principal Dr.R.Padmavathi, (President- Alumnae Association) presented areport to enlighten the alumnae on the milestone and recent development of the college. To add fuel to the programme 4 alumnae who voluntarily shared their journey in the college and its contribution to their current professional state. After the reminiscence session, the programme was wrapped with vote of thinks by Ms. Varalakshmi.R, Alumnae member. 

2nd Alumnae Meet Report

The 2nd Alumnae Meet – 2021 was organized for our GRT CON’s Graduands (Alumni) on 28.10.2021. Overall, 89 alumni were joined for the programme. The programme was started with the divinity of prayer song. The Chief Guest address was given by Dr.Padmavathi.R, Principal, GRT CON. The 1stalumnae report was read by Mrs.Nirmala.M, Associate Professor, GRT CON. She also mentioned about the Alumnae Association office bearers Dr.Padmavathi.R, Alumnae President, Ms.Krishnaveni.S, Vice President, Ms.Jyapriya.P, Secretary, Ms.Varalakshmi.R, Treasurer, Ms.Vinodini.M, In-House Secretary, Ms.Tamilselvi.S, In-House Treasurer. Then the Alumnae Newsletter was released by the Chief Guest Dr.Santhi Selvaganapathy, MBBS, DGO, Joint Director of Health Sciences, Tiruvallur, Dr.Padmavathi.R, Principal, GRT CON &Dr.Radhika Vidyasagar, Principal, GRT COE. Overall College report was elaborated by Principal Madam, Dr.Padmavathi.R. The Presidential address was given by Dr.Radhika Vidyasagar, Principal, GRT COE. 

Altruistic Service Provider Awards were distributed to our Alumnae’s. Totally 26 were received out of 38 alumnae’s. Overall 89 alumnae’s were participated in Alumni meet – 2021. Compliments gifts were distributed to all alumnae, who have attended the meeting. Dr.Radhika Vidyasagar, Principal, GRT COE hadshared a story, which was so meaningful and melts our heart.Chief Guest Dr.Santhi Selvaganapathy, MBBS, DGO, JD of Health Services, Tiruvallur hadpresented a motivational message to all our alumni. She also shared her own life history to us, which was so inspiring and encouraging thoughts. The Chief guest was felicitated by our Principal Madam, Dr.Padmavathi.R. Reminiscence & Nostalgia was shared by Ms.Yuvarani.C, Alumni of our GRT CON (2011 – 2015 Batch).Ms.Anbarasi, B.Sc (N) IV Yr student has performed classical dance to energize our alumni. All the alumnae’s were taken group photo with the Chief Guest, Principal Madam.The programmewas ended with Vote of thanks by Ms.Vinodini.M, Clinical Instructor.

3rd Alumnae Meet Report

The GRTCON 3rd Alumni Meet was conducted on 8th of June 2023. The Alumni meet was started after the Graduation Ceremony and a graceful welcome dance was given by the Students. The session was started with a Welcome address by Prof.Chitra.A.I,Vice Principal. The occasion was graced by more than 117 Alumni and their family.  Dr. Angel Shalini.W, Associate Professor presented the Alumni report where she underlined and praised the achievements of Alumni in all spheres of life. Dr.Padmavathi.R, Principal, GRTCON addressed the Alumni about the milestones achieved in the institution in Comparison with the time of establishment where there is a magnificent change escalated in terms of infrastructure and the quality of education. The Chief Guest Mr.Steve Danny, addressed the gathering where he appreciated the spirit and the ideals of love and service imbibed can be a motivating force which to be permeated in all activities of the students even after they leave the institution. The association thus serves as a connecting link fostering friendship and fellowship among all its alumni.The session was followed by cultural program by the students. Alumni has expressed in their speech specifying the infrastructure as there is an incredible change compared to the present ambient buildings with good facilities. Great bonhomie was observed everywhere with old students revealing their old memories with their batch mates, seniors and juniors. Many of the current students were also seen interacting with their passed out seniors and learning from their experiences. In all, the ambience was electric with people seen chatting and dancing in groups. The Program came to an end with Vote of thanks by the Alumni Mrs.Kamali.S and a special lunch was arranged for both the Alumni and their Parents.

New Alumnae Association office bearers were selected as follows – Dr.Padmavathi.R, Alumnae President, Ms.Nithya.G Vice-President, Ms.Swathy.N.M, Secretary, Ms.Priyanka.B, Treasurer.

4th Alumnae Meet Report

4th Annual Alumni Meet was started with Our Special Chief Guest Mr. Dhanasekar, V.M, M.Sc(N), working as DNS, AIIMS, Mangalagiriwho gave wonderful motivational and informative message regarding the opportunities of Competitive exams available for the B.Sc (N) graduates. He also boosted them to move forward and work hard to get placed in the Central Government jobs (viz., AIIMS, JIPMER, ESIC, NIMHANS, etc.,). And also he mentioned about the foreign opportunity with higher salary package. Then Few of our Alumnaes shared their experiences as nostalgia and reminiscences and gave them the guidance and tips to clear in OET exams and Prometric exams to their subjuniors. Finally our Alumnaes were entertained with culturals and they really enjoyed a lot. Alumnae gifts were shared as sweet memory and as a token of love. 3rd issue of Alumnae Bulletin was released by our Respected MD Madam Shrimathi. Roopa Anandapadmanaban and was received by our Chief Guest Shrimathi. Nalini Aravindan during the Graduation Ceremony.  

The Program came to an end with Vote of thanks by the Alumni Mrs.Kamali.S and a special lunch was arranged for both the Alumni and their Parents.
