IPR Basics For Innovators And Entrepreneurs
The IIC Unit of GRT College of Nursing organized a session on “IPR Basics for Innovators and Entrepreneurs” on 05.02.2026 for B.Sc. (N) IV Year students. The resource person, Ashok Kumar, Head of Research and Development, GRT Institute of Engineering and Technology, created awareness on Intellectual Property Rights and their role in innovation. He explained patents, copyrights, trademarks, and industrial designs, stressing protection of original ideas and research outcomes. The session covered patent filing procedures, benefits of safeguarding innovations, and commercialization pathways. Students learned how healthcare professionals can protect products, processes, and research findings. The interactive program built confidence to pursue ideas with legal awareness.
