Business Model Canvas, Business Model Fit, Raising Capital And Financial Management For Start-Ups
The IIC Unit of GRT College of Nursing organized a guest lecture on 15.05.2026 for Third Year B.Sc. Nursing students on the topic “Business Model Canvas, Business Model Fit, Raising Capital and Financial Management for Start-ups.” The session was delivered by Mrs. Pushpa, Assistant Professor, who provided valuable insights into entrepreneurship and business development. She explained that the Business Model Canvas is a strategic framework used to design and analyze a business through components such as customer segments, value proposition, revenue streams, key resources, and cost structure. She also highlighted the importance of Business Model Fit in ensuring that products or services effectively meet customer needs and achieve sustainable growth. The speaker discussed various sources of raising capital, including personal savings, bank loans, angel investors, venture capital, government grants, and crowd funding. Additionally, she emphasized the significance of financial management practices such as budgeting, cash flow management, financial planning, record keeping, cost control, and risk management for the success of start-ups. The session was highly informative and enhanced the students’ understanding of entrepreneurship, innovation, and financial sustainability in healthcare and business ventures.
