Winners & Runners Report  2024-2025

The Cultural Committee of GRT College of Nursing is pleased to present the official report of winners and runners for the Cultural Events conducted during the Academic Year 2024–2025. A total of twenty events were organized under four house teams – Red House, Blue House, Green House, and Yellow House – encompassing individual arts, performing arts, and group competitions.

RANGOLI

The Rangoli competition witnessed vibrant displays of colour and creativity from participants across all four houses. The results are as follows:

I Prize: Green House – Narmadha.R (IV Year)

II Prize: Red House – Gilbert Melodi.M (IV Year)

III Prize: Yellow House – Vidhya.V (III Year)

HAIR DO

The Hair Do event showcased the participants’ skills in styling and presentation. The prize winners are:

I Prize: Green House – Jayashri.R (III Year)

II Prize: Blue House – Thanushya.P (III Year)

III Prize: Yellow House – Jaya Devi M (I Year)

VEGETABLE CARVING

Participants demonstrated impressive artistry in transforming vegetables into decorative sculptures. The results are:

I Prize: Green House – Thrisha (IV Year)

II Prize: Blue House – Krithika K T (II Year)

III Prize: Yellow House – Kavitha V (II Year)

MEHANDI

The Mehandi event brought out intricate designs and artistic expression. The prize winners are:

I Prize: Green House – Bharathi.B (IV Year)

II Prize: Blue House – Mahalakshmi T (II Year)

III Prize: Green House – Ramya S (III Year)

FACE PAINTING

The Face Painting competition saw bold and imaginative artworks applied with skill and precision. The III Prize was shared jointly. Results:

II Prize: Red House – Aleena Sreejith (III Year)

III Prize (Joint): Yellow House – Fidha.S (I Year)

ON THE SPOT PAINTING

Participants created original works under time constraints, demonstrating spontaneity and talent. The results are:

III Prize: Green House – Deena Dayalee K (IV Year)

PENCIL SKETCHING

The Pencil Sketching event displayed fine detailing and artistic technique among participants. Results:

II Prize: Yellow House – Kavi Priya D (IV Year)

III Prize: Blue House – Priyanka Kumari (III Year)

GLAZY POT

The Glazy Pot event involved creative decoration of pots, blending craft skills with artistic flair. Results:

II Prize: Blue House – Ishwarya S (IV Year)

III Prize: Green House – Deena Dhayali K (IV Year)

SOLO SINGING

Solo Singing showcased individual vocal talent. The III Prize was shared jointly between two houses. Results:

III Prize (Joint): Green House – Thrisha V (IV Year)

This event saw graceful and technically refined semi-classical dance performances. The III     Prize was shared jointly. Results

SOLO DANCE – FOLK

Folk dance performances were filled with energy and cultural richness. The prize winners are:

SOLO DANCE – WESTERN

Western dance performances demonstrated contemporary styles and stage confidence. The II Prize was awarded jointly. Results:

ADAPT TUNE

The Adapt Tune event tested participants’ creativity in musical improvisation and melodic adaptation. Results:

III Prize: Green House – Jismaria (III Year)

MONO ACTING

Mono Acting evaluated individual dramatic expression, voice modulation, and stage presence. Results:

III Prize: Blue House – Hema Sree K M (III Year)

PERSONALITY CONTEST

The Personality Contest assessed confidence, communication, and overall presentation among participants. Results:

III Prize: Green House – Jisna Shiji (II Year)

GROUP SINGING

The Group Singing competition brought together teams of vocalists from each house in a harmonious display of choral talent.

OVERALL HOUSE POINTS SUMMARY (2024-2025)

At the conclusion of all twenty cultural events, the cumulative points scored by each house across individual and group competitions were tallied. The final standings are presented below.

Yellow House: 1,475 Points — OVERALL WINNER (I Place)

Green House: 1,400 Points — II Place

Red House: 775 Points — III Place (Joint)

Blue House: 775 Points — III Place (Joint)

Yellow House emerged as the overall champion of the Cultural Events 2024–2025, excelling in multiple individual and group competitions. Green House secured a commendable second position, while Red House and Blue House tied for third place. The Cultural Committee congratulates all participants, staff in-charges, and house coordinators for their enthusiastic efforts and contributions.
