ART And ICTC Field Visit In Stanley Medical College And Hospital, ChennaiPanimalar College Observational Visit
On 25.03.2026, the IV Year B.Sc. Nursing students undertook an observational visit to Panimalar College of Nursing to gain practical exposure to biomedical waste management. Assistant Professor Mrs. Pushpa, Clinical Instructors Mrs. Gowri, Mrs. Tiruveni and Ms. Sneha accompanied with students. The visit provided valuable insights into the systematic segregation, collection, transportation, and disposal of biomedical waste as per standard protocols. Students observed color-coded waste segregation methods and the use of protective equipment to ensure safety and infection control. The session also emphasized the importance of adhering to guidelines to prevent environmental hazards and health risks. Overall, the visit enhanced students’ understanding of effective waste management practices in healthcare settings.
