Kidney Health Awareness Programme
GRT College of Nursing, in coordination with TANKER Foundation, organized a Kidney Health Awareness Programme on 30th June 2026 from 1.00 PM to 2.00 PM at the GRT CON Auditorium with the theme “Insight into Kidney Disease.” The programme aimed to create awareness among nursing students about kidney health, disease prevention, and early detection.
The resource person, Mrs. Rajalakshmi Ravi, Advisory Member and Head of TANKER Foundation, delivered an informative session on the causes, prevention, treatment, and early detection of kidney diseases. She also emphasized healthy lifestyle practices, regular health check-ups, and the importance of organ donation. The interactive session highlighted the vital role of nurses in promoting kidney health and community awareness.
A total of 180 B.Sc. Nursing students participated actively. The programme concluded with a vote of thanks, and it was highly successful in enhancing students’ knowledge and awareness of kidney health.
