Guest lecture on “Patient Safety & Quality Care”

GRT College and School of Nursing organized a guest lecture on “Patient Safety & Quality Care” on 17.04.2026 at GRT Mahalakshmi Vidyalaya CBSE School Auditorium, Tiruttani. The session was led by Mr. Balaji V, Associate Vice President & Quality Head, Apollo Hospitals, Chennai. The program began with a prayer, welcome address, and guest felicitation. The speaker highlighted WHO patient safety goals, NABH standards, medical errors, SBAR communication, and nurses’ roles in ensuring safety through protocols. Real-life case scenarios made the session engaging. The lecture was attended by the faculty members of GRTCON and 300 nursing students. It was highly informative, interactive, and significantly enhanced their understanding of quality patient care practices.
