HIV And AIDS Awareness Camp

The Internal Quality Assurance Cell of GRT College of Nursing and the Red Ribbon Club, in coordination with the NSS Unit, organized an HIV and AIDS Awareness Camp on 15.05.2026 at Velanjeri Village. Mrs. Kamali.S, Clinical Instructor, GRT College of Nursing, conducted the awareness session. The session covered important topics including the meaning of HIV and AIDS, modes of transmission, prevention of transmission, and available treatment measures. Awareness was also created regarding social myths, stigma, and discrimination faced by people living with HIV/AIDS in society. The public actively participated in the programme by listening attentively and asking questions related to HIV/AIDS. The session was highly beneficial for both the public and the students by improving their knowledge and awareness about HIV/AIDS prevention and care.
