The college was established in the year, 2009 after obtaining permission from government of Tamil Nadu (Ministry of Health and Family Welfare) vide G.O. (Ms.) No.162, dated 02.06.2006, G.O. (Ms.) No. 279 dated 29.11.2016 & G.O. (Ms.) No. 406 dated 16.11.2017. GRT college of Nursing is affiliated to The Tamil Nadu Dr. M.G.R. Medical University, Chennai and recognised by Indian Nursing Council, New Delhi & Tamil Nadu Nurses and Midwives Council, Chennai and GRT School of Nursing is affiliated to Directorate of Public Health and Preventive Medicine and recognised by Tamil Nadu Nurses and Midwives Council, Chennai.

GRT College of Nursing aims to raise Nursing students as Nurse entrepreneurs, distinguished Nurse scientist, Nurse
Practitioner, Nurse Manager, Nurse Educator and highly talented professionals. Extending beyond education, this Institution actively
support and catalyse the overall personality development of each student and prepare them to face the challenges of modernization
and globalization of healthcare industry and have a successful career in the present day competitive knowledge- based information

GRT College of Nursing was established in the year, 2009 and is housed in an independent block of GRT campus under GRT Mahalakshmi
Educational Charitable Trust. With the prudent guidance of Shri. G. RAJENDRAN (Chairman). The institution has emerged as a new
educational movement, responsible for spreading value based high standard professional education to the people who are living in the
remotest areas of the state for reaching the unreached population. As a Chairman and President, He is the driving force behind the
growth of this institution.
